Andrea Aker founded Aker Ink Public Relations in 2007, armed with an diverse background in PR and journalism. Her enthusiasm for media is fueled by a love of current events and pop culture. As a result, her beats have run the gamut from sports to hard news to personal finance. Andrea has served as a freelance writer for newspapers, magazines and Websites for nearly a decade. She is currently the editor and webmaster of Arizona Oddities.
As the president of Aker Ink, Andrea helps businesses reach their true potential in the marketplace and build brand awareness. Core services include strategic media relations, marketing communications, social media, branding, copywriting and online marketing. In addition, Andrea assists charitable non-profits with grant writing and sponsorship development.
Andrea earned her Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Arizona and a Master's of Mass Communication from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, where she specialized in online media.
